Ian (he/him) is an actor-singer who is currently attending UC Irvine getting his B.F.A. in Music Theater. Ian found his love for the art of storytelling when watching Steven Spielbergs film Jaws as a six year old. Yes, six years old. Ever since, he has constantly known he had to participate in the art of storytelling. He enjoyed making movies in his backyard with his friends until finding his love for live performance in high school. Theater really drew him in because of its beautifully diverse, tolerant, and welcoming community. The art of theater really means a lot to him because it allowed him to find himself, without it he doesn't know who he'd be. He thinks it's beautiful that by standing in the shoes of a character you can learn so much about yourself. Since committing to the craft, he has played a wide verity of roles. Some of his favorites have been Emcee (Cabaret), Leaf Coneybear (The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee), Satan (The Last Days of Judas Iscariot), Mercutio (Romeo & Juliet), Bat Boy (Bat Boy: The Musical), and Prince Herbert (Spamalot). He enjoys exploring the fluidity of gender and hopes to represent the LGBTQ+ community and inspire people to be who they are. Everyone is enough and deserves to be seen and celebrated.
